Accents of Greatness | Team GB (July 2024)
Researcher & Location Scout

In May 2024 I was involved in producing Team GB's 'Accents of Greatness' promo ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Another opportunity enabled through Shoot The Company's network, I was given a handful of responsibilities, firstly identifying nationwide talent to include in the promo and then location scouting for a segment of the shoot.
Researcher
Before filming began I was tasked with identifying several individuals or sports clubs to be featured in the promo with an emphasis on diversity. Once I had compiled a list of potential participants I then had to contact them directly on behalf of the company. Following this I was then asked to direct my focus purely on clubs based in Manchester, and by following the same process as before I was able to confirm a shoot with the Martin Stamper Taekwondo Academy who had also previously represented TeamGB at London 2012.
Location Scout
My second involvement with this promo was being tasked with location scouting in the East London area of Dalston. I was put in charge of identifying several specific areas for the shoot including an old-fashioned café, a park and a busy market. Although this was my first time compiling a location recce, it was a successful and enjoyable experience made even more satisfying after seeing the locations I found being featured in the final promo as you can see by the images below.
